Welcome to the Worcestershire and Herefordshire County Golf Partnership (WHGP), an alliance between the Worcestershire Union of Golf Clubs, Worcestershire PGA and Worcestershire & Herefordshire Ladies Golf Association.

We devise initiatives to get more people into the game and introduce measure to increase the standards of play throughout the counties.

CGP Tournament Little Aston Sunday 30th October     Teams of twelve County Academy players, from five counties, met at Little Aston.   Each team had four girls and eight boys selected by age range from 9 years to 16 years.   In the boys event the Worcestershire team came third.   The Worcestershire's girls won the girls' team event by several strokes.   This was an inaugural event and pulled together the players showing significant progress in their academy to produce an end of season event to crown these successful golfers' year.   Thanks to Little Aston for providing a fantastic venue and the CGP Organisers who put the event together, which included the PGA scoring vehicle, giving these newly emerging youngsters a taste of the excitement of competition golf.   Well done to Warwick Holland, our CGP County Development Officer, and the coaches of our nine Academies.

 County Golf Partnerships Awards

County Development Officer, Warwick Holland, has made successful application for funds to support golf in Worcestershire.

To promote golf to over 16 year olds a project has been approved which will be funded by

The Golf Foundation - £1k Worcestershire County Sports Partnership - £3k (success in the first phase will lead to a second grant of £3k)

To promote golf in Birmingham and Redditch Municipal Clubs England Golf, funded by Sport England, has approved funds of £90k over three years  Our CGP will work with Warwickshire CGP and Birmingham and Redditch Councils to promote golf at these Municipal venues.
